Hospice New Zealand invited us to their Palliative Care conference at Te Papa in Wellington. Over three days we drew an unfolding narrative where an elderly gent recounted memories of his life. As a boy he stole eggs; as a war aviator he parachuted into a tree where he met the love of his life; and as a grandparent he enjoys fishing with his granddaughter.
We also invited delegates to draw with tape ‘objects memoria’ - things that remind them of loved ones who have passed on.
